AHI™ Test CentersCCHI offers the AHI™ examination year around. Click on the link below to view a map of the test centers throughout the United States at which candidates can sit for their AHI™ examination. After you apply and are determined eligible, CCHI will help you schedule when and where to take exams relevant to your situation. Interpreters in all languages need to qualify for and take the Associate Healthcare Interpreter™ (AHI™) exam which is a multiple-choice, computer-based examination administered in sites that are both secure (to prevent cheating or compromising the exam) and convenient (located in a facility in a city near you). http://www.act.org/actcenters/locate/index.html CHI™ Test CentersThe CHI™ performance exam requires a special set up for undisturbed interpretation, spoken aloud. CCHI makes special arrangements for private testing rooms during certain testing "windows" each quarter for that exam. If you are a Spanish, Mandarin or Arabic language interpreter, once you have passed the AHI™ exam you will schedule the CHI™ oral performance examination. CCHI will inform candidates of upcoming testing windows and post available dates and locations when finalized. Spanish, Mandarin and Arabic language interpreters who pass both exams are awarded the CHI™ Certification by CCHI. Next testing window – begins in July 2012 CCHI test centers are located in the following cities and states. This list will continue to be updated so check back often.
